I am a Consultant Paediatrician with over 20 years of clinical experience caring for babies, children and adolescents. I worked as Consultant in General paediatrics in the UK at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital. I have completed three years Clinical Fellowship in Metabolic Medicine at Evelina Children’s Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital. My experience includes a fellowship in Neonatology at Manchester Children’s Hospital and Leeds General Infirmary. I also hold a specialisation in Systems Biology and Biotechnology from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, and have authored three publications in metabolic medicine available on PubMed.
Throughout my career, I have worked in both NHS and private settings, supporting families through everyday childhood illnesses as well as more complex or ongoing concerns. I founded Empaediatrics to offer private paediatric care that feels personal, calm and consistent. My aim is not only to assess symptoms but also to understand the whole child within the context of their family. I believe that good paediatric care is built on listening carefully, explaining clearly and walking alongside parents as they navigate their child’s health and development.
Parents often tell me they value having time to speak, ask questions and feel heard. In my clinics, appointments are structured but unhurried. I take time to explore your concerns in detail, carry out a thorough assessment and explain my findings in clear, accessible language. Where reassurance is appropriate, I provide it with confidence and clarity. Where further investigation or specialist input is needed, I guide you through the next steps and remain involved so care feels coordinated rather than fragmented. Continuity is important. Families know who they are seeing and who understands their child’s history.
My work covers a broad range of general paediatric assessments, including newborn care, feeding and sleeping concerns, growth and development, respiratory and recurrent infections, allergies, gastrointestinal symptoms, renal and urinary issues, and behavioural or developmental concerns. I also provide structured assessments when families would like a second opinion or clearer guidance.
In addition to routine clinical care, I am experienced in developmental monitoring, early identification of concerns and coordinating referrals where appropriate. I work closely with other healthcare professionals when needed to ensure children receive the right support at the right time.
Families consider seeing a private paediatrician for many reasons. Some are worried about new symptoms and would like a timely assessment. Others are experiencing ongoing concerns and would value continuity with a named consultant. Many simply want more time to talk through their questions and feel confident about the plan moving forward.
Private paediatric care does not replace NHS services. It works alongside them, offering quicker access to a consultant paediatrician, longer appointments and a consistent point of contact. This can be particularly helpful when concerns are persistent, unclear or causing anxiety. At Empaediatrics, my focus is on clarity, reassurance and proportionate care. I do not over-investigate or medicalise normal childhood variation. Instead, I aim to provide careful assessment, practical guidance and a clear explanation of what is normal, what may need monitoring and what requires further action.
I see parents as partners in their child’s care. Your observations, instincts and day-to-day knowledge of your child are invaluable. I encourage open discussion and shared decision-making so that any plan feels appropriate and manageable for your family.
